Water Stories... 2018 In response to time spent inside a 10’ x 10’ white tent set up along the Schuylkill River I created “Water Stories” during the three day period I inhabited the space. Inside the tent, having full view of the Schuylkill River, inviting the public to participate, I wanted to explore ideas of language, nature and the passing of time through the simple act of perforating paper with lit incense sticks. The holes reference language much like a story written with pen or pencil connecting thoughts, giving space for pause.
